Separation Anxiety

Ezra has been having a lot of separation anxiety since about mid December and it just gets worse. I think it started right before Christmas. I had leave him and Ethan with a babysitter more often than usual so I could go to my rehearsals and concerts and such. One time, Ethan cried most of the time while I was gone, and by the end, Ezra was crying too. Up until this point he was always just fine being away from me. Ever since, he refuses to go to preschool or primary class without me, and forget about babysitters. I can't even leave the room at home anymore without him following me. If he's distracted and doesn't see me leave the room, then he'll frantically call for me as soon as he notices. Every time I have to use the bathroom, he runs to the door calling, "Mama, Ethan needs you!" I think the root of the anxiety may be that he's worried about his little brother? That is sweet in a way, but I hope he gets through this phase soon!
